These can be bought at the practice to save you a visit to the shops.

Some of the following will be recommended to suit your individual needs which you can use at home:

• A suitable cleaning method and a modern toothbrush [one which has been tested in clinical trials and thus proven to be very
  effective
• Special brushes to go between the teeth
• A dental floss to suit you (there are different ones, & some come on a carrying device)
• A super-strength fluoride toothpaste
• Various rinses
• Other specific oral hygiene aids

These will be reviewed with you at all your appointments with your hygienist so that the most useful aids can be found to enable you to do a thorough cleaning job twice a day.
