We’re the Bracknell practice for you if you want to be seen QUICKLY!
Call 01344 429485 (Bracknell) to arrange an appointment to see one of our dentists quickly. Free parking.
The first thing to say is, that every case is different and your dentist will advise you as to what is best for you. Some teeth are easy extractions and can be taken out there and then.
Wisdom teeth, however, often have infection around them [swelling] so cannot be taken straight away. If you have such an infection, your dentist may prescribe antibiotics. You can buy these at the practice to save you a trip to the chemist.
Sedation (tablets by mouth – very successful) can be given for an extraction after discussion with your dentist.
Some wisdom tooth cases have to be referred to a specialist in hospital. There, they can be removed under local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic (whichever is best for your case).
Your dentist will advise you what is best for you and you can take it from there.
I need a front tooth to be taken out. Must I have a gap?
Do not worry if you have to have an extraction. You do not have to be “gappy”.
Your dentist can plan things so that the extraction is carried out at the same appointment as a bridge or denture is fitted. So you will leave the dentist looking exactly the same as when you came in! No-one will know that you have had anything done!
